Pipe Repair & Installation

We isolate leaks with pressure and acoustic tools, then compare sectional repairs against reroutes or full repipes. We consider pipe age, scale, and corrosion, plus access and finish impact. The chosen method is pressure‑tested and documented for durability. We stage parts, protect surfaces, and validate performance at fixtures before sign‑off.

FAQs

Find quick answers to the most common questions about our plumbing services. These FAQs cover what to expect, service details, and helpful tips to make scheduling easier.

Can you avoid opening the slab?

Often yes. Most slab-leak repairs in single-family SoCal homes can be addressed by rerouting the leaking line above the slab — through walls, ceiling spaces, or attic — instead of breaking concrete. This is cleaner, faster, less invasive, and usually less expensive than concrete cuts. The trade-off is that you trade a concrete cut for some interior drywall patching. We plan the reroute path during the diagnostic visit and explain options before quoting.

Is trenchless always possible?

No — trenchless pipe lining (CIPP) and pipe bursting work in most residential sewer lateral situations, but they have limits: severe pipe collapse (no host pipe to line), back-pitch problems (lining doesn't fix slope), tight bends or fittings that the lining can't navigate, and lines crossing major obstructions. We always camera-scope the line first to verify trenchless candidacy. When it's the right tool, trenchless completes a sewer replacement in 1-2 days versus 5-7 for traditional dig-and-replace.

How long will water be off?

For most pipe work we stage the project so water is only off during the active connection phase — typically 1-4 hours per day, not all day. We pre-fabricate fittings and stub-outs while the line is still live, then plan the shutoff window for early morning or after work hours. Whole-house repipes might require 6-8 hours of shutoff on the day of the final tie-in, but we always confirm shutoff timing with the homeowner ahead of time.

Do you patch walls?

Yes — for any pipe repair that requires opening walls, ceilings, or floors, we patch the access cuts with drywall, mud, tape, and a primer-ready finish. We don't paint or texture-match by default (that's a finish trade) but we can coordinate with a finish carpenter or painter for the visible touch-up. For larger reroute projects we discuss the visible work upfront so you can plan finish work for the same project timeline.
