FAQs
Find quick answers to the most common questions about our plumbing services. These FAQs cover what to expect, service details, and helpful tips to make scheduling easier.
We can give ballpark ranges over the phone or by photo (e.g., "a typical water heater replacement runs $X-Y in your area, depending on the unit and code upgrades"). Firm pricing requires the on-site diagnostic — we need to see the actual condition, access constraints, and any code issues before committing to a number. Diagnostic visits are typically priced as a flat fee that's credited toward the repair if you proceed.
Yes — if the customer-supplied fixture is code-compliant, in good condition, and not a counterfeit knockoff. We inspect the unit on arrival, verify any included parts (cartridges, escutcheons, supply lines), and proceed with installation. Note: most manufacturers void the product warranty if installed by anyone other than the original purchaser's authorized installer, and we can't extend our workmanship warranty to defective fixtures we didn't source. We're happy to recommend or source quality alternatives.
Rarely. For most residential plumbing work we plan the shutoff window to cover only the active connection phase — typically 1-4 hours. We pre-fabricate parts, stage tools, and prep access points while the system is still live. For whole-house repipes the final tie-in might require a 6-8 hour shutoff, but we always communicate that timing with the homeowner ahead of time so you can plan around it.
Yes — annual maintenance plans cover water heater flushing, fixture/aerator/strainer cleaning, supply-line and shutoff inspection, sewer scope (every 2-3 years), water pressure check, and a written report of recommended repairs. For homes 20+ years old this catches issues before they become emergencies. Call (866) 324-9553 to set up an annual plan tailored to your home's age and equipment.
